Abstract
Participants will engage in information-sharing and activities with both small and large group discussion. An opportunity to engage in self-reflection and introspection related to identify, belonging and inclusive practices will be provided. Basic strategies to identify and mitigate barriers to belonging will also be discussed. As a result of this session, participants will better understand how they relate to others in the context of creating a culture of belonging related to social identity.

Agenda
10 minutes: Introduction and Establishing Group Norms
20 minutes: Share 10 Dimensions of Belonging model and engage in self-reflection related to it. Will share out in large group about activity
40 minutes: Share education on culturally-conscious speaking/engaging, then partake in scenarios related to the concept and discuss in small and large groups.
40 minutes: Share education on the impact of bias and how to address it, then partake in scenarios related to the concept and discuss in small and large groups.

Presenter Information
After graduating from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and from Indiana University with a Master of Science in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Lloyd Daley-Graham worked full-time as a student affairs practitioner in housing and residence life for approximately eleven years. Noteworthy experiences during this time for Lloyd include participating in the Social Justice Training Institute, serving on the Sexual Assault Response Team, giving several presentations at the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity, and creating/managing several programs about and across differences for residential environments at Clemson University and Indiana University. Currently, Lloyd serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation or IndyGo. Lloyd is passionate about promoting a sense of belonging for all identities through education and meaningful connections. On a personal note, Lloyd enjoys playing tennis, volunteers with cats at the Humane Society of Hamilton County, and recently welcomed his new son into his home with his husband, Chris.
