What are ISHA Groups?

The groups are a space for ISHA members to network with fellow professionals to ask questions, help solve them, seek resources, and more. It is the ultimate member-to-member online community forum by way of email listservs.

To access the ISHA Groups go to: https://myislha.groups.io/g/main

You will need to log in as a Groups member; see below how to join.

Joining ISHA Groups

You can join directly on the website or by email:

1. Through the website: Go to https://myislha.groups.io/g/main and click on the blue box to apply for group membership. You will enter your email address, and receive a verification email to set up your account. We will confirm you are an active ISHA member and grant access.
2. By email: Send an email to myislha@groups.io (any subject heading or email text will work). Once we confirm you are an active ISHA member you will be granted access.
3. When you are granted access you will be able to log in using the main page.

Group Participation

Once enrolled, you may join as many of the groups as you like either through the main access website or by using each group’s unique email address.

Guidelines for joining Groups

You must be a current active member of ISHA to join and maintain membership in groups.io.

1. Do not post job postings on the Groups.io. (ISHA has a job-link page for these)
2. Do not post commercial messages. This does not preclude asking questions about, or recommendations for, professional products; rather, do not use Groups.io to advertise commercial products.
3. All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive or illegal material is strictly prohibited.
4. Please be respectful, and do not use these groups to voice your views of current events. Let’s celebrate wins for our profession and show courtesy and respect for each others’ backgrounds and experiences. We encourage conversations on relevant professional topics.
5. The Groups.io is monitored by an ISHA member tasked with maintaining the guidelines provided.

Etiquette

1. Please include a signature tag on all messages. Include your name, affiliation, location and email address.
2. State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject.
3. Include only the relevant portions of the original message in your reply. Delete any header information and put your response before the original posting.
4. Send messages such as “thanks for the information” or “me, too” to individuals, not to the entire list. Do this by using your email application’s forwarding option and typing in or cutting and pasting in the email address of the individual to whom you want to respond.
