Marianne Samuel, MA, CCC-SLP, has been an ISHA member since 2002, when she was a student at Ball State University. Most recently, she served on the ISHA Executive Council as treasurer. Marianne began her career in the hospital setting, where she worked with critically ill patients, supervised students and clinical fellows, and helped develop and implement the inpatient FEES program. She then transitioned to home health, where she enjoyed working with patients in their most functional setting. Most recently, Marianne began working primarily in a skilled nursing facility with a focus on mild cognitive impairments, dementia and dysphagia.
