In Indiana, anyone practicing as a speech-language pathologist should hold the IPLA or Indiana Professional Licensing Agency license no matter where you practice. School-based SLPs are being found in violation of this law. You must have the IPLA license which you then take to the DOE who will provide you with the school license. Please check to make sure you have both credentials. You must also obtain a minimum of 36 clock hours of CE every two years to renew the IPLA license.
